#Lakelife: simple pleasures & living in the moment

We just got back from 5 days in Bass Lake, CA — a peaceful slice o’ heaven near the Yosemite South Gate.

Every morning, we’d head down to the lake to drink in the view and splash our feet in the cool, refreshing water.

This was a working vacation — and while the kids slept in, I’d spend the mornings on a beautiful deck overlooking the lake, surrounded by redwoods, taking calls, leading meeting, and working on deliverables. HEAVEN.

Each afternoon, we enjoyed a different type of water sports. We spent one glorious day zipping around the lake on a Waverunner.

Another day, we rented a speedboat & went tubing around the lake — BIGTIME fun.

Each night, we’d sit on our deck overlooking the lake, eating dinner and enjoying the happy soundtrack of birds, boats, and laughing kids.

Some of my favorite moments were relaxing by the lake and watching our kids have simple, timeless summertime fun.

To send you off with that #lakelife vibe — soak in this peaceful vista…

What summertime adventures are YOU planning? Tell me in the comments.
