Whenever I give a talk, my favorite part is the Q&A. That’s where I learn about what’s on peoples’ minds, and what they’re struggling with. In the photo above, I’m speaking with a food entrepreneur about her startup, discovering how she’s marketing her baking kits. She ended up taking my Game Thinking workshop, and we worked together for a few months to better understand and serve her target customers.
I love getting a chance to talk with passionate entrepreneurs about their challenges and opportunities. Those conversations keep me tuned-in to the realities of startup life, and help me deliver solutions that hit the mark and lead my clients towards massive success.
Recently, I spent a week in Kuala Lumpur, where I had the opportunity to connect with dozens of South Asian innovators. What an amazing learning experience! I came away with powerful insights about the unique challenges that Malaysian entrepreneurs and product leaders face, plus some tactical ideas for using Game Thinking to overcome these obstacles.
This trip also challenged my assumptions about how females are treated in a majority Muslim country. I’d assumed that women were held back and not allowed to engage fully in the work world.
Boy, was I wrong! My workshops were filled with bright young female product leaders who were engaged, vocal and every bit as empowered as their male counterparts. I love having my assumptions and prejudices turned upside down
Now I’d like to learn more about you and your team. We’re developing new programs and courses for 2018, and I’d love to understand the challenges you’re facing around product development and customer discovery so I can serve you better. To thank you for your insights, I’ll give you early access to our latest Game Thinking online workshop.
